Shoulder decompression is an operation performed on the shoulder when pain is produced by bursitis, inflammation or bone spur formation.

This procedure is also known as subacromial decompression procedure. During this procedure, your surgeon will aim to make more space around the rotator cuff so that it no longer rubs or catches on anything nearby.

This surgery is often performed via keyhole surgery (also known as arthroscopy) which helps reduce scarring and downtime, however this will be discussed in detail prior to your surgery by our highly trained team.
