Our catering department takes great pride in providing our patients and guests with freshly prepared in-house meals.

Our chefs use the freshest seasonal produce, cooked with delicious flavours from the Mediterranean. All our meats, fruits and vegetables are carefully selected from trusted suppliers to ensure consistency and the best possible quality.

We cater for various dietary requirements including; salt-free, fat-free, lactose free, diabetic, vegetarian and gluten-free. All our meat and poultry are halal. During your stay as an inpatient, kindly inform us of any special dietary requirements you might have.

Lunch and dinner
Both meals consist of three courses. For each course, the patient will have a choice of three items.

Afternoon tea
Served daily and all pastry items are baked in-house by our talented pastry chefs. We offer a creative selection of classic and contemporary pastries.

Special occasions
If during your stay you have a special occasion, such as an anniversary or birthday, and would like to order something special from the Food and Beverage Department, please let us know via the Host personnel. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required if you would like a birthday cake or a similar food item.

Pastoral care is an integral part of the care offered at Saint James Capua Hospital in Sliema. The Hospital has a chapel for quiet reflection and a Catholic Mass is held there every first Friday of the month for patients, visitors and staff.

Catholic Holy Communion is offered in the inpatient wards and Mass is celebrated on the ward every Sunday. The Hospital is also served by clerics from different faiths. Please ask if you would like the support of a pastoral guide during your stay.
