Studied at the University of Malta medical school and graduated as a medical doctor in 2002. In 2004 after completing the foundation years joined the surgical department and 2006 sat successfully for the MRCS exam. In 2012 moved to the UK for specialisation in Upper GI surgery. In 2013 completed a masters in general surgery and FRCS exam and was later awarded the certificate of completion of specialist training both in Malta and the UK. After 18 months at the Royal Sussex County Hospital NHS trust, in 2014 moved to St Thomas’ Hospital in London as a senior clinical fellow for further sub-specialisation. In 2018 was appointed as a consultant general surgeon with a special interest in Upper GI surgery.

Minimal access abdominal surgery also known as keyhole surgery is my main interest and currently undergoing further training in robotic surgery.
